KP Minister Steps Down Over Rift with CM Gandapur

KP Minister for Communication and Works Shakil Ahmed Resigns

Peshawar- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Communication and Works, Shakil Ahmed, resigned from his position on Thursday following disagreements with Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

In his resignation letter to the KP Chief Minister, a copy of which was obtained by Dunya News, Shakil Ahmed accused the provincial government of compromising on the core principles and commitments made to the public during the election campaign.

He also noted that the people supported Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) for its anti-establishment stance, but the provincial government has since retreated from its original position.

He also claimed that poor governance and widespread corruption within the provincial government have tarnished the party’s image and undermined its programme and manifesto among party members.
