Javed Butt Shot Dead in Lahore: Key Figure in Murder Case
Teefi Butt's Brother-in-Law Gunned Down on Busy Canal Road; Wife Wounded
Significant advancements have been achieved in the investigation of the Murder of Javed Butt, who was the brother-in-law of Khawaja Tareef Butt, also known as Teefi Butt, in Lahore. Authorities have reportedly identified the primary suspect in connection with the fatal shooting.
According to sources, a manhunt is currently in progress to locate and apprehend the shooter, identified as Azhar, a resident of Santnagar in Islampura.
Police reports indicate that Azhar allegedly rented a rickshaw from Wajihaul Hasan, a resident of Garhi Shahu, as part of his plan to carry out the crime. On the day of the murder, Azhar parked the rickshaw at a stand in the Sandah area before switching to a motorcycle to execute the shooting.

Investigative teams traced the rickshaw and were able to identify Azhar as the prime suspect. Raids have been conducted by special investigation teams at various locations in an effort to capture him. Despite intensive efforts, police have not yet succeeded in arresting the accused, but remain confident that his capture is imminent.
On September 2, the Ameer Balaj Tipu murder case took a dramatic turn when Javed Butt, who is the brother-in-law of Teefi Butt— the primary suspect in the case—was shot and killed in Lahore. The incident occurred when gunmen opened fire on him on the heavily trafficked Canal Road.
Javed Butt’s wife was also injured in the attack and was subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment.
