Iran, Pakistan Set for Key Talks as Abbas Araghchi Visits Islamabad
Islamabad-(Mudassar Iqbal)The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, arrived in Islamabad on an official visit.
Upon his arrival, he was received by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, as well as other senior government officials.

During the visit, the Iranian Foreign Minister is expected to hold high-level meetings with Pakistan’s civil and military leadership. Discussions are likely to focus on strengthening bilateral relations, enhancing regional connectivity, expanding trade and economic cooperation, and exchanging views on the evolving regional situation and security dynamics.
The visit is being seen as part of ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two neighboring countries to deepen cooperation and address mutual concerns.
Earlier. Ishaq Dar stressed the need for sustained engagement and meaningful dialogue to resolve disputes, highlighting that timely progress is crucial for maintaining peace in the region. Abbas Araqchi acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role, and both leaders agreed to stay in close contact moving forward.
Pakistan continues to actively pursue diplomatic channels to ease tensions between the United States and Iran. Senior leadership, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar, and Asim Munir, remain engaged with multiple countries to support ceasefire and de-escalation efforts.
