Iranian Hackers – (Web Desk) – An Iran linked hacking group said on Wednesday that it carried out a large cyberattack on the US medical technology company Stryker. The group claimed it wiped more than 200,000 computer systems and stole around 50 terabytes of data. It said the attack was a response to recent military strikes on Iran.
The hackers, who call themselves Handala, said their cyber operation was successful. In a statement, they said the attack was linked to what they described as a brutal strike on a school in Minab. They also mentioned ongoing cyber pressure against groups they call the Axis of Resistance.
According to the group, the attack forced Stryker offices in 79 countries to stop operations. They also said the stolen data had been shared with people around the world. The hackers warned what they called Zionist leaders and their supporters. They said this attack could be the start of a new stage of cyber conflict.
Stryker was founded in Kalamazoo. It is one of the world’s leading medical device companies. The company has about 56,000 employees. In 2025, it reported revenue of about 25.12 billion dollars. Stryker makes many medical products. These include orthopedic implants, surgical tools, hospital beds, and robotic surgery systems.
Later, the same hacking group also said it targeted Verifone. The company is known for payment machines used in shops and businesses.
So far, these claims have not been confirmed. News agency Agence France‑Presse said it could not verify the details of the attack.
The outages started shortly after 0400 GMT on Wednesday, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal. People familiar with the situation said many Windows devices were affected. This included laptops and mobile phones connected to Stryker’s network. Some devices were wiped remotely.
Reports also said the logo of the hacking group appeared on several login screens. The group Handala is believed to have links with Iran. It first appeared around 2022. In recent weeks, it has claimed several cyberattacks on companies in Israel and Gulf countries.

An internal notice at Stryker described the situation as a serious global disruption. It affected both user devices and company servers. The company has now asked Microsoft to help investigate the incident.
