Indian Actor Rajpal Yadav’s Assets Confiscated Amid Financial Troubles

India:The Central Bank of India has confiscated property belonging to Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, over his failure to repay a substantial loan. Yadav, recognized for his extensive roles in Indian cinema, took out a loan of INR 3 crore from the bank’s Mumbai branch, securing it with properties owned by his father, Naurang Yadav, in Shahjahanpur.

The original debt of INR 3 crore grew to INR 11 crore due to accrued interest and penalties after Yadav missed payments. On August 8, a team from the Mumbai branch went to Shahjahanpur and sealed the property in a major step towards recovering the overdue amount.

Rajpal Yadav, 53, who hails from Shahjahanpur, has appeared in over 150 films in various languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, and Bengali. He is well-known for his comedic roles, such as in “Bhool Bhulaiyaa.” Despite his success on screen, Yadav has faced financial issues before.

This property seizure is not his first legal trouble related to unpaid loans. Previously, Yadav was imprisoned for defaulting on a loan taken to fund his directorial project, “Ata Pata Lapata.” The film, produced by his wife Radha Yadav, did poorly at the box office, leading to significant financial losses.

The current property seizure follows a similar pattern, with the loan reportedly linked to Yadav’s production company, Shri Naurang Godavari Entertainment Limited. The film associated with this loan, which starred Yadav and the late Om Puri, failed to meet expectations.

Neither Rajpal Yadav nor the Central Bank of India has issued an official comment on the property seizure. Yadav, who was recently seen in “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2” and made his OTT debut with “Kathal,” is expected to appear in future projects like “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” “Baby John,” “Welcome To The Jungle,” and “Maktoob.”
