Two-Month Ban Proposed for Wrestler Inam Butt

Lahore: (Sports Reporter) – National wrestler Inam Butt is facing a proposed two-month ban after testing positive for a banned substance during the Asian Beach Games in China.

According to sources, Inam Butt has maintained that the substance detected in his sample was not used to increase his strength or enhance his sporting performance. He explained that it was taken as part of treatment for an eye condition.

Sources said the wrestler’s explanation has been accepted, following which a two-month suspension has been proposed. The ban is likely to take effect from April.

Inam Butt is also likely to lose the silver medal he won at the Asian Beach Games. However, he will be free to resume sporting activities after completing the suspension period.

The doping test was conducted during the Asian Beach Games held in China, where Inam Butt was competing for Pakistan.
