Imran Urges Harmony with Military, Cautions Against “Foolish” Rift

Rawalpindi(Mudassar Iqbal);Imran Urges Harmony with Military, Cautions Against “Foolish” Rift, Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister, has emphasized the importance of maintaining good relations with the military, stating that it would be “foolish” not to. In a written response to Reuters from Adiala Jail, where he will mark one year of imprisonment on August 5, Khan reiterated his belief in strengthening ties with the military due to Pakistan’s strategic position and the military’s significant role in the country’s private sector.
Khan clarified that his criticisms have targeted specific military leaders, not the institution as a whole, and expressed no personal grievances against the United States, despite believing the US played a role in his ousting. He proposed “conditional negotiations” with the military, provided that transparent elections are conducted and “bogus” cases against his party members are withdrawn.
