ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan Calls Present Regime as Establishment Government, Imran Khan, founder of Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), made significant remarks from Adiala Jail, criticizing what he described as an establishment-led government and advocating for transparent elections to save Pakistan.

Speaking to journalists, Khan emphasized the necessity of fair elections for the country’s stability, questioning the legitimacy of trials of civilians in military courts under the current governance. He lamented the loss of hope in the present government and alleged historical election rigging.

Highlighting concerns over judicial processes, Khan expressed dissatisfaction with the handling of petitions and human rights issues in the Supreme Court, particularly questioning the delay in addressing intra-party election matters despite the challenges faced by PTI.

Former prime minister Imran Khan took a stand that measures like the NAB amendments discouraged foreign investment and investors. The appeals against the annulment of the amendments should be dismissed, he sought. The Supreme Court has reserved its decision on the appeal to restore the NAB amendments.

Imran Khan adopted the stance that amendments to laws to save someone’s corruption do not happen even in a banana republic, as corruption has destructive and negative effects on the economy.
