Bangladesh Cricket Governance Under ICC Review Process

DUBAI: (Web Desk) –  A two-member delegation appointed by the International Cricket Council recently visited Bangladesh to engage with key stakeholders and review developments concerning the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

The delegation comprised ICC Board Directors Dr Mohammed A.S. Moosajee and Tavengwa Mukuhlani. During the visit, they held discussions with various stakeholders as part of an assessment process focused on governance and electoral matters related to the BCB.

In an official statement, the ICC clarified that the delegation’s role was limited to gathering information and reviewing recent developments. The findings and observations from the visit will be submitted to the ICC Board for consideration in due course.

The governing body also emphasized that the delegation will not be making any public or media comments regarding the visit. As a result, the ICC stated that any media reports, commentary, or claims about the delegation’s conclusions or recommendations are speculative and should not be considered the official position of the organization.

The statement underlined the ICC’s commitment to following established governance procedures and ensuring that any future decisions are based on a comprehensive review of the delegation’s findings.
