Hamid Raza Resigns from PTI Core Committee and National Assembly Seat

ISLAMABAD: Hamid Raza has resigned from his position in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee and from his National Assembly seat, following the party’s recent protests in Islamabad. Raza informed the PTI leadership of his decision on Thursday, citing personal reasons for stepping down from both his party role and legislative seat.

His resignation comes on the heels of another significant departure within PTI, as Salman Akram Raja also resigned from his position as the party’s Secretary General earlier today. Raja, who had held the position since September 2024, stepped down for “personal reasons” but vowed to continue supporting the party in a legal capacity.
