Key Demands of the Employees
Employees want all ad hoc allowances merged into their basic salary. They are also calling for a new pay scale 2026 to be introduced immediately.
Workers demand a 100 percent ad hoc relief allowance added to monthly salaries. Those earning below Rs50,000 should get a 50 percent salary raise.
Conveyance, medical, and house rent allowances should be increased by 200 percent. Employees also want pension reforms withdrawn and the old pension system restored.
A 30 percent disparity reduction allowance should be given to bridge the salary gap. The government should also abolish the 25 percent tax slab on teachers and researchers.
Contract and daily wage workers should be regularized without further delay. Children of employees who died in service must be given government jobs. Joint committees should be formed for institutions on the privatization list.
Agreement of March 10 Must Be Honored
Employees reminded the government to implement the March 10, 2025 agreement in full. They say the government has failed to fulfill its promises so far.
The minimum monthly salary of every government employee should be fixed at Rs50,000. Workers believe this is the only way to meet rising living costs in Pakistan.
