German Australian Embassies Closed Islamabad Amid Security Restrictions
The closure comes amid heightened security measures in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – In Islamabad, the embassies of Germany and Australia will remain closed on Monday and Tuesday due to ongoing security measures and road closures in the capital.
German Ambassador Anna Lippel confirmed that the German Embassy will be closed from April 20 until at least April 21, 2026. In a statement shared on X, she explained that visa section services would remain suspended during this period due to restricted access caused by road closures linked to anticipated US-Iran talks.
Authorities have implemented strict traffic and security arrangements across Islamabad, particularly around the Red Zone, affecting movement and access to diplomatic missions.
Citizens seeking visa or consular services have been advised to plan accordingly and check for further updates before visiting the embassies.
