Fujairah Oil Refinery Fire: Iran Drone Attack Hits UAE Amid Renewed Aggression
Fujairah Oil Refinery Fire Erupts After Iran Drone Attack as UAE Intercepts Missiles
UAE – (Web Desk) – The Fujairah oil refinery fire caused by an Iran drone attack is the latest sign of renewed tensions, as the UAE confirmed its air defences intercepted 12 ballistic missiles, three cruise missiles, and four drones launched from Iran on Monday, leaving three people with moderate injuries.
Since attacks began, the UAE has now intercepted a total of 549 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles, and 2,260 drones. The human cost has also grown, with 227 people injured across multiple nationalities and 13 lives lost.
The UAE Ministry of Defence stated it remains at the highest level of readiness to face any further threats. Despite this, Iran’s state media claimed the country had no plans to target the UAE — a statement that contradicts the ongoing strikes on Emirati soil.
The UAE has strongly condemned what it calls unprovoked Iranian aggression targeting civilian sites and infrastructure across the country.
