Four Killed, Nine Injured in Armed Clash Over Land Dispute in Khyber

The incident is believed to have stemmed from a prolonged dispute over land ownership, police added.

LANDI KOTAL: (Our Correspondent)  – Four people were killed and nine others injured after a long-standing land dispute turned into a deadly armed clash in the Neki Khel area of Landi Kotal tehsil in Khyber district on Saturday.

According to police, tensions had been simmering between two rival groups over the ownership of a piece of land. The violence erupted when members of one group began cutting trees on the disputed property, prompting resistance from the opposing side.

The argument quickly escalated into an exchange of gunfire, leaving four people dead at the scene and nine others wounded.

Rescue teams, assisted by local residents, shifted the injured to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Landi Kotal. After receiving initial treatment, critically injured victims were referred to hospitals in Peshawar for advanced medical care.

Police rushed to the area, cordoned off the crime scene, and launched an investigation. Authorities said evidence is being collected and efforts are underway to arrest those involved in the deadly clash.
