FIA Arrests 46 Suspects in Gujranwala Human Trafficking

FIA Arrests Gujranwala Human Trafficking Networks in Major Two-Week Operation

Gujarat – (Web Desk) – FIA arrests Gujranwala human trafficking suspects have crossed 46 in just two weeks, as the Federal Investigation Agency launched a sweeping crackdown across the Gujranwala region. Seven of those arrested were proclaimed offenders who had been on the run.

The arrested suspects are accused of cheating hundreds of people out of Rs100 million. They took money from victims by promising to send them to European countries, America, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia — but never delivered.

Most arrests were made based on information provided by deportees who had been sent back from Libya. Three suspects are also accused of running illegal money transfer networks, commonly known as hawala.

The FIA’s three circles played an active role in these operations. The Gujranwala circle arrested 18 suspects, while the Gujrat and Sialkot circles arrested 14 each.

In a separate incident at Sialkot International Airport, two passengers were stopped before boarding their flights. They had paid Rs5.6 million to agents who arranged fake visas and forged travel documents for them.

The FIA has vowed to keep its operations running until all human trafficking networks in the Gujranwala region are dismantled.
