Pakistan Italy Agree to Enhance Cooperation Across Multiple Sectors
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Pakistan and Italy have reiterated their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation across a wide range of areas of mutual interest and agreed to maintain close contact at all levels.
The understanding was reached during a telephone conversation between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.
During the call, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the Italian leadership’s positive remarks, including appreciation by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts that contributed to facilitating an understanding between the United States and Iran.
Modi Welcomes US-Iran Understanding for Regional Peace
Both sides emphasized the importance of fully implementing existing understandings and continuing international engagement aimed at promoting long-term peace and stability in the region, including efforts related to Lebanon.
They also noted that developments concerning the opening of the Strait of Hormuz represent a constructive step for global energy security, trade flows, and overall economic stability.
Reaffirming the positive momentum in Pakistan–Italy relations, both leaders welcomed the recent agreement on visa exemption for diplomatic passport holders, describing it as a step forward in strengthening bilateral engagement and cooperation.
