Father of Cricketer Ihsanullah Seeks Better Medical Support from PCB
Ihsanullah's Father, Abdul Nasir, Claims Inadequate Care in Swat
Abdul Nasir, the father of Pakistan’s fastest bowler Ihsanullah, has urgently appealed to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for better rehabilitation support for his son.
In a conversation with local media in Lahore, Nasir voiced serious concerns about the quality of medical facilities in Swat, where Ihsanullah is currently recovering from an elbow injury that has troubled him for more than a year.
Ihsanullah’s struggle continues despite having undergone surgery in England. According to Nasir, the right-arm fast bowler’s recovery is being hindered by the inadequate medical support and facilities available in Swat.
Nasir’s appeal comes on the heels of decisions made by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who had arranged for Ihsanullah’s rehabilitation in Swat. While Naqvi’s intentions were to make the process more convenient, Nasir believes the current setup is insufficient for his son’s proper treatment.

“Ihsanullah’s care in Swat is being mismanaged due to the lack of essential facilities and experienced doctors,” Nasir expressed. “I urge the PCB to relocate my son to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore, where he can receive the specialized care needed to safeguard his cricketing career.”
Nasir’s concerns were further highlighted during a meeting with Nadeem Khan, Director of Academies, where he pushed for Ihsanullah’s transfer to the NCA. Support for this move was also echoed by Ihsanullah’s coach in Lahore, Malik Nasir, who emphasized the importance of the 21-year-old bowler receiving top-tier treatment.
“Given Ihsanullah’s status as Pakistan’s fastest bowler, it’s crucial that he gets the best possible medical care,” Malik Nasir commented. “Failure to do so could put his future in cricket at risk.”
