Fatal Swat Expressway Crash Kills Eleven
Hiace Passenger Van Collision Causes Major Tragedy Near Ismailya Area
SWAT: (Web Desk) – A tragic road accident on the Swat Expressway claimed the lives of at least 11 people and left seven others critically injured after a Hiace passenger van collided with a bus early Monday morning.
According to initial reports, the accident occurred near Ismailya when the passenger van reportedly rammed into the back of a parked bus due to alleged driver negligence and overspeeding.
Eyewitnesses said the bus was stationed alongside the road at the time of the collision, while the van was traveling from Rawalpindi to Dir.
The bus involved in the accident was reportedly en route from Karachi to Buner.
Dumper Accident Taxila Kills Two on HMC Road
Following the incident, teams from the Motorway Police and Rescue 1122 rushed to the scene and shifted the deceased and injured victims to Mardan Medical Complex for medical treatment and legal formalities.
Authorities said preliminary investigations suggest the crash occurred because of careless driving and negligence by the van driver.
The deadly accident has once again raised concerns over road safety, reckless driving and poor traffic discipline on highways across Pakistan.
