Pakistan’s Ehtesham Humayun Finishes Runner-Up in Tunisia Doubles Final
ISLAMABAD: (Sports Desk) – Pakistan’s Ehtesham Humayun secured a silver medal at the ITF J30 Akoda in Tunisia after finishing runner-up in the doubles competition.
Ehtesham delivered an impressive performance alongside Alexander Viarsotsky of Belarus, as the pair advanced to the doubles final.
In the title decider, the duo faced Tunisia’s Anash Ben Youssef and Algeria’s Yassine Maghari. After a competitive battle, Ehtesham and Viarsotsky went down 3-6, 6-2, 6-10.
The Pakistani-Belarusian partnership fought back strongly after losing the opening set, winning the second 6-2 to level the contest. However, their opponents prevailed in the deciding match tiebreak.
Despite the defeat in the final, Ehtesham’s impressive run earned him the silver medal at the ITF J30 event.
The result adds another notable achievement to the young Pakistani tennis player’s international campaign.
