Petrol Price Increased 88 Paisas, Diesel Reduced by Rs1.88

Petrol will now cost Rs393.64 per litre, up from the previous rate of Rs392.76.

ISLAMABAD: (Finance Reporter) – The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products, with the new rates taking effect from October 6.

According to a press release issued by the Petroleum Division of the Ministry of Energy on October 5, the price of motor spirit has been increased by 88 paisas per litre.

Petrol will now cost Rs393.64 per litre, up from the previous rate of Rs392.76.

Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs1.88 per litre, falling from Rs399.64 to Rs397.76 per litre.

The Petroleum Division said the revised rates were determined under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

It added that the latest adjustment was driven by developments in the international market, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and other related costs.

The new petroleum prices will remain effective from October 6 under the revised pricing mechanism.
