Sri Lanka Test Captain Dhananjaya de Silva Steps Down Immediately
Colombo: (Sports Desk) – Sri Lanka Test captain Dhananjaya de Silva has stepped down from the captaincy with immediate effect, bringing an end to his tenure as the team’s Test leader.
According to a statement from Sri Lanka Cricket, Dhananjaya informed the national selection committee of his decision through a formal letter. He said he believed the responsibility of leading the Test side should now be handed over to the next generation.
