DG ISPR Vows to Throw Out All Illegal Afghan Citizens
Taliban-Controlled Afghan Territory Used to Plan Attacks on Pakistan: DG ISPR
Rawalpindi (Special Reporter/ News Desk) — Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, said Pakistan will take strict action against illegal Afghan nationals, declaring that those residing in the country unlawfully will be removed.
Speaking at a press briefing on Wednesday, the military spokesperson said that the majority of militants involved in recent terrorist incidents in Pakistan were Afghan nationals. He alleged that Afghan territory under the Taliban administration was being used to plan and facilitate attacks against Pakistan.
Referring to undocumented Afghan migrants, Lt Gen Chaudhry stated that Pakistan would not allow illegal foreign nationals to remain in the country, saying, “We will pick up all illegal Afghan citizens and throw them out.” His remarks came amid heightened security concerns following a series of deadly terrorist attacks in Balochistan.

His comments coincide with the federal government’s recently announced directive requiring law enforcement agencies to arrest any Afghan national found living in Pakistan without a valid visa from July 10, 2026, as part of the Illegal Foreigners Repatriation Plan.
Pakistan has linked the repatriation policy to national security, while Afghan authorities have previously rejected Islamabad’s allegations that Afghan soil is being used to launch attacks inside Pakistan.
