Dar, Araghchi Discuss Bilateral Ties and Regional Developments

BISHKEK: (News Desk) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar met his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, on Tuesday on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of State meeting in Bishkek.

According to the Foreign Office, the two ministers discussed Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations as well as developments across the region. They also reaffirmed the importance of maintaining regular engagement between the two countries.

Dar emphasised that dialogue and diplomacy remained vital to advancing peace and stability in the region.

During the meeting, the Pakistani foreign minister also stressed that sincere implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding by both sides to the conflict remained the only viable path forward.

The meeting took place as regional leaders gathered in Bishkek for the SCO summit, providing an opportunity for Pakistan and Iran to exchange views on bilateral cooperation and pressing regional issues.
