ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, during which both sides discussed regional developments and their potential impact on the global economy.

The two leaders exchanged views on the broader implications of any disruption in the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing the importance of maintaining stability in vital international trade routes. They expressed hope for a peaceful and lasting resolution to the ongoing regional situation.

Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace, stability and dialogue across the region and beyond. He stressed that Pakistan continues to engage constructively with all relevant stakeholders to de-escalate tensions.

The Kuwaiti foreign minister appreciated the diplomatic efforts of Pakistan’s leadership, including the Prime Minister, senior military leadership, and the deputy prime minister, for facilitating dialogue between the United States and Iran.

He also acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive role in encouraging regional cooperation and promoting peace and stability in a highly sensitive geopolitical environment.
