Court Lifts Stay on Verdict in £190m Case Against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi
The IHC has lifted the stay on delivering a verdict in the £190 million case involving Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, paving the way for the court's decision.

The Islamabad High Court has lifted the stay on the final verdict in the £190 million case against PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi. Previously, the court had halted the verdict during the last hearing.

While hearing Khan’s request for access to documents related to the case’s closure, the court allowed his legal team to review the records provided by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The IHC division bench, led by Justices Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb and Babar Sattar, made the decision to lift the stay.

Khan’s lawyer, Salman Safdar, noted that the case involves eight accused, with accusations against Khan centered around his role in facilitating the £190 million transaction as prime minister. The trial will proceed as directed by the court, with the cross-examination of witnesses ongoing.
