Sohail Afridi Hazara: Govt Vows Responsive Rule

Sohail Afridi Hazara meeting focuses on tourism, security and public services

CM KP – (Web Desk) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi Hazara visit on Friday brought a clear message: better services, real development, and lasting peace for the people.

He met public leaders from Hazara Division to review ongoing projects, law and order, and how well government departments are solving public problems.

“We will judge our work by how happy people are, not by slideshows,” Afridi told the gathering. He called this year one of peace and progress.

During the meeting, officials shared updates on development work, security, and how citizen complaints are being handled across the region.

The chief minister also spoke about tourism. He asked officials to find and build new tourist spots in Kolai-Palas and Allai.

He reminded everyone that Rs500 million has already been set aside under the Khushhal Hazara Package just for tourism projects.

Afridi told departments to give top-quality service to visitors, saying tourists help build a good name for the province.

He also asked for solid traffic plans so tourist areas don’t get jammed during busy travel seasons.

On a long-running issue, the CM ordered a special commission to settle the border dispute between Kolai-Palas and Battagram over Chor Mali and Baleej valleys.

With monsoon season here, he told departments to stay alert and keep emergency plans ready at all times.

Afridi also urged local leaders to hold more open kutcheris, where common people can raise issues directly.

He confirmed that the police budget has been increased to improve safety and law enforcement across the province.

Officials shared some numbers too. Out of 2,111 complaints filed through the Citizen Portal, 1,879 have already been resolved.

More than 100 open kutcheris have taken place recently, part of the government’s Open Door Policy to stay close to the public.

Land record digitization is complete in Abbottabad and Battagram, while Haripur and Mansehra are close behind at 97% and 90%.

On policing, 20 facilitation centers are already running in Hazara, and six more are being built.

The meeting ended with Afridi telling all departments to act quickly and stay accountable for what was decided.

Senior officials, elected members, and top police officers were present, including KP Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati.
