UAE(Sports Reporter);Babar Azam Rises in Test Rankings, Falls in T20 Rankings, Substantial changes have been reflected in the latest player rankings for Test and T20 formats as revealed by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

It is worth mentioning that captain of Pakistani cricket team Babar Azam has seen a growth in Test rankings, though fell in his place within T20 rankings.

Joe Root’s updated ICC rankings have placed him top among the test cricketers, displacing New Zealand’s Kane Williamson to second position.

Babar Azam has moved up one place in Test standings which puts him third while Daryl Mitchell of New Zealand holds the fourth position. Steve Smith and Rohit Sharma have both dropped to fifth and sixth positions, respectively.

India’s Ravichandran Ashwin heads the list of Test bowlers while Australia’s Josh Hazlewood is number two and India’s Jasprit Bumrah is ranked at number three. Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja remains on top of the Test all-rounder charts.

Australian batsman Travis Head still rules as far as T20 format is concerned. Nevertheless, Babar Azam suffered a decline from fourth to fifth place.

Surya Kumar Yadav of India ranks second, England’s Phil Salt occupies third position, and Yashasvi Jaiswal of India comes forth Pakistanis Mohammad Rizwan fell to sixth after he was seventh in previous ranking.

Marcus Stoinis is number one leading T20 all-rounders list while Sikandar Raza from Zimbabwe graduated to second with Shakib Al Hasan now remaining on third place for Bangladesh. Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga went down by two places finishing fourth.
