Archer Ruled Out of Final Two Ashes Tests as England’s Woes Deepen

Duckett has scored 97 runs in six innings so far, with a highest score of 29.

London: England fast bowler Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the final two Ashes Tests against Australia due to a left-side strain, further compounding England’s disappointing tour.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed that fast bowler Gus Atkinson has been added to the squad as Archer’s replacement. Batting all-rounder Jacob Bethell has also been included in the team and is set to bat at number three, replacing Ollie Pope.

Pope has been dropped from the side for the fourth Test following a poor run of form. His highest score in the series was 46, which came in the Perth Test. Despite struggling for runs, opener Ben Duckett has retained his place in the team. Duckett has scored 97 runs in six innings so far, with a highest score of 29.
