WASHINGTON: (Web Desk) – Apple Inc. is reportedly preparing a major redesign of the iPhone to celebrate its 20th anniversary, with early leaks hinting at bold changes in both design and functionality.
The company previously marked the iPhone’s 10-year milestone with the launch of the iPhone X, which introduced Face ID and reshaped the iPhone’s design for years to come. Now, speculation suggests Apple could once again introduce a game-changing model for this upcoming milestone.
According to leaks shared by Digital Chat Station on the Chinese platform Weibo and reported by 9to5Mac, Apple is exploring a device with a quad-curved display. Development on this concept is said to be progressing, although details remain limited.
The rumored device—informally dubbed the “iPhone 20”—could feature a design without physical buttons, replacing them with haptic controls. Reports also suggest Apple may aim for a seamless edge-to-edge display by placing components like Face ID sensors beneath the screen.

Despite the growing buzz, Apple has not officially confirmed any plans for a special anniversary iPhone. Analysts caution that such leaks should be approached carefully, as the company has previously been linked to concepts that never reached the market, including foldable devices.
While quad-curved displays have appeared in some Android smartphones in the past, Apple is expected to bring its own refined approach if the design becomes a reality. Expectations remain high that the company will deliver something distinctive to mark two decades of the iPhone.
