ISLAMABAD: (Technology Desk) – Apple is reportedly preparing a major upgrade for the iPad Air, with the upcoming model expected to feature an OLED display for the first time in the device’s history.
According to technology reports, the iPad Air could receive its first major redesign since 2020, ending a long period of external design consistency. The fourth-generation iPad Air introduced a refreshed look with flat edges, an all-screen display, and Touch ID integrated into the power button, while later versions focused mainly on internal hardware improvements.
Reports suggest the next iPad Air may use Samsung Display’s single-stack LTP OLED panels, offering improved visuals while being more affordable than the tandem OLED technology used in the iPad Pro. The device is also expected to feature Apple’s upcoming M5 chip.
Experts believe the OLED transition could become the biggest enhancement to the iPad Air in years, as Apple continues expanding OLED technology across its product lineup. The new model is also rumored to include design improvements, an upgraded speaker system, and a more water-resistant body.
