PSX Surges as US-Iran Talks Boost Market Confidence

Pakistan Stock Exchange Rallies as Global Tensions Ease After Talks

Karachi: (Finance Reporter) – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) started the new trading week with strong gains after US President Donald Trump announced renewed negotiations with Iran, improving investor confidence and easing concerns over regional tensions.

At 11:34 am, the benchmark KSE-100 Index was trading at 178,453.54 points, gaining 2,359.43 points or 1.32%. Buying activity was witnessed across major sectors, including commercial banks, cement, oil and gas exploration, oil marketing companies, and power generation.

Major index-heavy stocks including HBL, MCB, MEBL, NBP, OGDC, PPL, POL, PSO, and HUBCO traded in positive territory.

Market analysts attributed the rally to improved global sentiment following signs of diplomatic engagement between the US and Iran. Lower international oil prices also supported investor optimism, with Brent crude declining significantly in the previous week.

The KSE-100 Index had already gained more than 5,000 points last week, ending a three-week losing streak and closing at 176,094.13 points after a weekly increase of 5,072.93 points or around 3%.
