Afridi Claims Many Indians Are Discontent with Modi, Highlights Peaceful Intentions

Afridi Claims Pakistan's Military Superior to India's

ISLAMABAD: — Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi has revealed that many Indians, both within India and around the world, have expressed their discontent with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking at a private news channel program, Afridi emphasized Pakistan’s desire to live in peace and harmony, stating, “We want to live with love and affection. Bullying will not work.” He further added, “We have been in a state of war for a long time,” underlining the tension between the two countries.

The former cricket captain also discussed the military capabilities of Pakistan, asserting that Pakistan’s armed forces are so well-trained that the Indian military would not be able to match them in any confrontation. “Our armed forces are highly trained. The Indian military will fail to stand against us,” he remarked.

Afridi, known for his diplomatic approach, shared a recent experience at the Wagah border, where an Indian soldier recorded a video of him. “Yesterday, at the Wagah border, an Indian soldier recorded a video of me on his mobile phone. When I waved at him, he waved back,” Afridi recalled, highlighting a moment of mutual respect and peace despite the tense relations between the two countries.

The former cricketer’s comments have sparked discussions on social media, with many applauding his call for peaceful coexistence while addressing concerns over the current political climate in India under Prime Minister Modi.
