Afghan National Killed in Mohmand Operation as Security Forces Neutralise Two Militants
Pakistan vs Afghanistan – (Web Desk) – Security forces killed two militants in an Afghan national killed Mohmand operation carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on June 4, 2026, according to sources.
One of the killed militants was an Afghan national. He was carrying an Afghan identity card, foreign currency, modern weapons, and a suicide vest, security sources confirmed.
The Afghan militant was identified as Umar Bilal. He was reportedly a resident of Khost province in Afghanistan.
The operation is part of ongoing counter-terrorism efforts across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, where security forces have intensified actions against militant networks.
A day before this operation, Pakistan carried out precise strikes along the Afghanistan border. At least 26 militants were killed in those strikes, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed.
The minister said the strikes came after a series of attacks, including an assault on a Federal Constabulary post in Musa Dara on June 9, a suicide attack on a military post in North Waziristan on June 2, and an attack on a police station in Bannu on May 9.
Pakistan launched Operation Ghazab lil-Haq in response to rising militant activity. Hundreds of Afghan Taliban operatives and allied militants were killed or injured during the operation.
Terror incidents in KP and Balochistan have increased since 2021, when the Afghan Taliban came to power. Despite multiple rounds of talks, Pakistan and Afghanistan have failed to reach any agreement on cross-border militancy.
