Advocate General Punjab Ahmad Awais removed from his post after approval from caretaker Punjab CM

Lahore: (Staff Reporter) Advocate General Punjab Ahmad Awais has been removed from his post. A notification in this regard has been issued after the approval from Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi. At least 97 law officers of the Advocate General’s Office have also been relieved of their posts. According to notification issued in this regard, 32 Additional Advocate Generals and 65 Assistant Advocate Generals have also been removed from their posts.

According to the sources, Additional Advocate General Chaudhry Jawad Yaqoob has been instructed to look after the administrative affairs of the office of Advocate General Punjab. The new caretaker government of Punjab has also appointed 20 new Additional Advocate General and 35 Assistant Advocate General Punjab in the Advocate General Office.
