Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Arrives in Islamabad to Strengthen Ties

Islamabad: Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid bin Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan has arrived in Islamabad on an official visit, accompanied by a high-level delegation. The visit aims to deepen the bilateral ties between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Pakistan, with a focus on investment, economic, and trade cooperation.

Upon his arrival at Nur Khan Airbase, the distinguished guest was warmly welcomed by Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The leaders exchanged greetings, reaffirming their shared commitment to enhancing the relationship between the two nations.

Following the arrival, Sheikh Khalid bin Muhammad headed to the Prime Minister’s House for high-level discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Defense Minister Khawaja Asif. The Crown Prince was presented with a guard of honour, with several federal ministers also in attendance to greet the dignitary.

During his visit, Sheikh Khalid is expected to meet with President Zardari and Prime Minister Sharif to explore key areas of collaboration. Multiple agreements, aimed at boosting economic and trade partnerships, are set to be signed during the visit.

In a symbolic gesture of appreciation, Sheikh Khalid bin Muhammad will be conferred with Pakistan’s highest civilian honour, the ‘Nishan-e-Pakistan,’ in recognition of his efforts in strengthening Pakistan-UAE relations.

The visit underscores the continued commitment of both countries to work closely on mutual interests and enhance their diplomatic, economic, and strategic partnership.
