Chaudhry Shujaat said that the Army Chief is the guarantor of national security and his appointment should not be made controversial because of political differences. Chief of the Army Staff is always a guarantor of national security and after appointment, he does not belong to any specific family, tribe and region but becomes the protector of the whole nation and the army. All the claims about the COAS’s appointment will be phased out and the Army’s nomination will be the sole foundation of the decision.
He further said that the whole nation has confidence in the judiciary and the Chief Justice of Pakistan is the apex judge, he should not be made a victim of political tricks.
Former prime minister during a pray said May God make the kind of politics going on in the country unsuccessful, most of the politicians are entangled in complaints, the answers and accusations. The spirit of patience and tolerance is weakening due to which the complainers do not have the courage to listen to the answers to their complaints.
