NEW YORK: (Showbiz Desk) – British pop star Dua Lipa has revealed a touching personal detail hidden in her custom Chanel wedding gown, making her bridal outfit even more special and memorable.

The 31-year-old singer married actor Callum Turner in a civil ceremony in London in May before celebrating their wedding with a second ceremony in Sicily, Italy, on June 6.

For the Italian celebrations, Dua Lipa wore a bespoke Chanel Haute Couture gown designed by the fashion house’s artistic director, Matthieu Blazy. The creation was particularly significant as it marked Blazy’s first wedding dress for Chanel and was specially designed for a close friend of the fashion house.

The singer disclosed the gown’s unique detail while introducing Blazy at the 2026 WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards on Thursday, October 29, where the designer was among the personalities honoured for their contributions to the industry.

Recalling the experience, Lipa described her wedding dress as the most beautiful outfit she had ever seen or worn. She praised the designer for incorporating personal memories and meaningful elements into the creation.

Among the special details was an embroidered illustration of the couple’s dog enjoying its favourite park in London.

Lipa said the designer had woven deeply personal messages into the gown, transforming it into a masterpiece created with exceptional precision, care and emotional significance. She added that the dress would give her a wonderful story to share with her grandchildren, telling them that their grandmother had married in Chanel couture.

Dua Lipa’s Multiple Wedding Outfits

The singer also showcased several custom-designed outfits throughout her wedding celebrations.

For her London civil ceremony, she wore a bespoke Schiaparelli skirt suit, which drew comparisons with Bianca Jagger’s iconic bridal outfit worn during her 1971 marriage to Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger.

During the celebrations in Sicily, Lipa welcomed guests in a custom Bottega Veneta halter-neck gown complemented by Bulgari jewellery.

For the morning after the wedding, she chose another specially designed outfit, a floral lace dress by French fashion house Chloé.
