Explaining the character’s personality, Sheheryar said Abu Bakar is far from perfect and often feels compelled to keep everyone around him happy. His inability to say no leaves him dealing with unnecessary pressure and emotional exhaustion.
The actor also highlighted Abu Bakar’s saviour complex, explaining that he feels responsible for solving other people’s problems and making himself available whenever someone needs help. According to Sheheryar, this behaviour is closely linked to his upbringing, as his mother taught him to support others, help them through difficult times and take responsibility for their well-being.
However, these deeply ingrained expectations have become a source of emotional strain, making it challenging for Abu Bakar to put his own needs first. Through the character, Sheheryar explores how constantly seeking approval and trying to rescue others can become overwhelming when a person struggles to establish healthy boundaries.
