Saudi Arabia Targets Healthcare Workforce Growth Through New Recruitment Drive

RIYADH: (News Desk) – Saudi Arabia’s Health Holding Company has announced 4,291 new healthcare positions as part of efforts to strengthen the Kingdom’s national medical workforce and expand the capacity of its public healthcare system.

The announcement marks the first phase of recruiting physicians, nurses and other clinical specialists across the country’s 20 regional health clusters. The initiative aims to attract qualified Saudi professionals, meet the growing demand for healthcare services and improve the operational capacity of public health institutions.

According to the announcement, the latest recruitment drive brings the total number of jobs, employment-linked training contracts and newly advertised positions announced by the company in 2026 to 19,610.

The figures include 12,914 new Saudi employees, 2,405 training contracts leading to employment and 4,291 newly announced vacancies.

Eligible Saudi medical professionals can apply electronically through the relevant health cluster recruitment portals within 15 days of the announcement.

The Health Holding Company oversees the development of integrated healthcare services in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to improve patient care, reduce preventable diseases and expand access to medical services, with patients at the centre of the healthcare system.

The recruitment initiative is also intended to establish clearer career development pathways, increase employment opportunities for Saudi nationals and support the long-term sustainability of the country’s healthcare sector.

The expansion reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to develop its local medical workforce and strengthen public healthcare services across all 20 regional health clusters.
