Aamir Khan Eyes Action Comeback With Stephen Chow
Stephen Chow and Atlee Emerge as Potential Aamir Khan Collaborators
MUMBAI: (Showbiz Desk) – Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is reportedly considering a return to the action genre, with filmmaker Stephen Chow among the potential collaborators for his next major project, according to a report by Mid-Day.
The actor is said to be exploring opportunities to make an action film on an international scale. While Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have starred in big-budget action films, Aamir is reportedly looking for a project that could expand his presence in the genre and appeal to audiences worldwide.
Apart from Stephen Chow, Aamir is also reportedly considering an action film with director Atlee, who gained prominence for his commercial action entertainer Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan. Atlee’s signature combination of large-scale action and mass entertainment could offer Aamir another option as he evaluates his next project.
According to the report, Aamir has requested time until March 2027 to make a final decision. The actor is reportedly taking a careful approach before committing to his next major film.
However, neither collaboration has been officially confirmed. If the reported discussions progress, a project involving Aamir and Stephen Chow could bring together Bollywood star power and the filmmaker’s distinctive blend of martial arts, physical comedy and spectacular action.
Chow is internationally recognised for directing Kung Fu Hustle, his 2004 action-comedy that combined martial arts with imaginative visual effects and humour.
Fans are now waiting for an official announcement about Aamir Khan’s next project and whether he will return to action films on a grand scale.
