Yumna Zaidi Shares Emotional Struggle of Leaving Family Behind

Actress Yumna Zaidi Reveals Emotional Side of Stardom, Says Tears Follow Her Flights

ISLAMABAD: (Showbiz Desk) – Pakistani television star Yumna Zaidi has offered a rare glimpse into the emotional side of her life away from the screen, revealing that leaving home and family for work still brings tears despite years of adapting to the demands of her career.

The actress shared a candid moment on Instagram, posting a picture of herself sitting on an airplane. Yumna appeared to be smiling gently with teary eyes while wearing wired earphones as she reflected on the emotional challenges that come with travelling for work.

“Flights and my tears share a long history. I still tear up leaving home for work, stepping away from family to face the world and hold it all together,” Yumna wrote.

She added that although the tears continue to fall, she has gradually become accustomed to those emotional moments and, in an unexpected way, has learned to embrace them.

“Even though the tears still fall, I’ve grown used to them and strangely, I’ve grown to love them. Life is a profound teacher,” she said.

Yumna’s heartfelt reflection highlighted a quieter and more vulnerable side of an actress whose professional journey has brought her widespread recognition and success.

Behind the glamour of showbiz, her words revealed the emotional cost of repeatedly leaving loved ones behind to fulfil professional commitments and pursue career opportunities.

For Yumna, however, the tears appear to represent more than sadness. Her admission that she has “grown to love them” suggests that these moments have become a reminder of her deep connection with home and family.

Her experience also reflects the sacrifices often associated with a demanding career in the entertainment industry, where filming schedules, projects and frequent travel can keep artists away from their loved ones for extended periods.

Rather than concealing her vulnerability, Yumna chose to openly embrace it, describing life as a “profound teacher” and presenting her emotional moments as part of the process of learning, growing and moving forward.
