15 Men Jailed for 188 Years Over Sexual Abuse in Bradford
15 Men Sentenced to Combined 188 Years for Sexual Abuse of Bradford Girl
Bradford (Staff Reporter) – Fifteen men have been sentenced to a combined 188 years in prison for repeatedly sexually abusing a girl in Bradford, UK, when she was a teenager.
The victim was aged between 14 and 18 from 2007 to 2011, during which time she was subjected to repeated sexual abuse by the offenders. The case remained before the court for almost two years, with reporting restrictions in place to protect the proceedings.
A judge lifted the restrictions on June 3, 2026, allowing details of the case to be publicly reported.
The investigation began in November 2015 after West Yorkshire Police reviewed historical records and discovered that the girl had repeatedly been reported missing from her home during childhood. Officers later contacted her, leading to a formal investigation being launched in February 2016.

The 15 offenders received prison sentences ranging from eight to 17 years. Yousaf Bhatti was sentenced to 17 years, while Anwar Aziz, Faisal Rashid and Umar Taj were each handed 15-year sentences.
The remaining offenders received sentences ranging from eight years to 13 years and six months.
Following the sentencing, the victim said the offenders had taken things from her that she could not put into words. She said the abuse had taken 20 years of her life and that she would carry the pain of losing her childhood for the rest of her life.
West Yorkshire Police Chief Inspector Vicky Greenbank praised the victim for her courage and urged other survivors of abuse to come forward.
She stressed that it is never too late to report abuse, regardless of how much time has passed since the offences occurred.
