Kuwait Approves Defence Cooperation Agreement with Pakistan Officially

ISLAMABAD: (Special Reporter) – Kuwait has officially approved a defence cooperation agreement with Pakistan, marking a significant step towards expanding military collaboration between the two countries.

According to Arab media reports, the approval was issued through Decree No. 73 of 2026, with the decision published in Kuwait’s official gazette. The decree formally ratifies the defence agreement signed in Kuwait on June 11, 2023.

The agreement is designed to enhance bilateral defence relations by creating a framework for cooperation in military training, professional education, logistics, exchanges of military personnel, scientific and technical collaboration, and military intelligence, in line with the laws of both nations and their international commitments.

Iran Suspends Commitments Under Agreement, Accuses US of Violations

Under the agreement, both countries will develop annual implementation plans through executive protocols and joint programmes to ensure effective cooperation.

A Joint Military Committee will be established to supervise coordination and monitor the implementation of the agreement through annual meetings between officials from both sides.

The pact also contains strict provisions for safeguarding classified information. Confidential documents and materials cannot be shared with any third party without prior written consent from the other side.

In addition, any disputes related to the agreement will be settled through mutual consultations and dialogue rather than through domestic or international courts.
