Seven India-Backed Terrorists Killed in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations

Seven India-backed terrorists were killed in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, security sources said on Tuesday.

Two of them were killed in the Nokcha area of Balochistan’s Chagai district. The militants had set an empty water bowser on fire and tried to run away. Security forces moved in and carried out an operation.

Sources said the same militants were also linked to arson attacks at several places along the N-40 highway.

This is not the first action of its kind in the region. Security sources said 11 terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan were killed on August 31. They were also involved in acts of sabotage.

Officials said operations in Balochistan will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated from the province.

In a separate action, forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Bara town of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Five terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij were killed there.

A large cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the site. Security sources said the militant hideouts were completely destroyed.

The sources added that security forces remain committed to ending terrorism and bringing lasting peace to the country.

Pakistan has seen a sharp rise in cross-border terrorist incidents since the Afghan Taliban returned to power in 2021. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have been among the worst-hit areas.

Islamabad has repeatedly asked Kabul to stop its territory from being used by militant groups for attacks inside Pakistan.

Pakistan says the Afghan Taliban authorities have not taken effective action against groups behind attacks on Pakistani security forces and civilians.
