LAHORE: (Staff Reporter) – The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has announced a 50 percent increase in remuneration for teachers and staff performing examination duties, providing financial relief to thousands of personnel involved in the board examination process.
The revised payment structure applies to superintendents, deputy superintendents, invigilators, practical examiners, mobile inspectors, distributor inspectors and other examination-related staff.
Under the updated rates, the daily remuneration for superintendents has been increased from Rs1,560 to Rs2,340, while deputy superintendents will now receive Rs1,800 per day instead of Rs1,260.
The allowance for invigilators has been raised from Rs1,000 to Rs1,500 per day. Meanwhile, mobile inspectors will receive Rs1,620 compared to the previous Rs1,080, and distributor inspectors’ daily payment has increased from Rs1,200 to Rs1,800.
The remuneration for practical examiners has also been enhanced from Rs1,540 to Rs2,310 per day under the new schedule.
BISE Lahore Controller of Examinations Tauseef-ur-Rehman said the increase recognizes the dedication, responsibility and significant contribution of teachers and examination staff in ensuring the smooth conduct of board examinations.
He added that the decision would help strengthen a transparent, standardized and efficient examination system. Board officials said the revised rates would apply to examination duties assigned by BISE Lahore and are expected to improve staff motivation and operational effectiveness.
