According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, Kallas appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic role that helped pave the way for the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.

The EU’s foreign policy chief also voiced concern over recent ceasefire violations and emphasised the importance of keeping communication channels open to prevent further escalation.
During the conversation, Dar briefed Kallas on Pakistan’s continued efforts to promote peace and stability in the region. He urged all sides to fully respect and implement the ceasefire agreement.
The Foreign Office said Pakistan and the European Union agreed to remain in close contact and continue consultations on regional developments.
