Train operations to and from Quetta remain suspended amid Pakistan train schedule disruption, officials say

Pakistan train schedule disruption continues as Quetta and Balochistan rail services remain suspended amid security and operational issues.

Balochistan – (Web Desk) – Pakistan train schedule disruption has continued for another day, affecting rail travel to and from Quetta and several parts of Balochistan. Railway officials said services remain halted due to “unavoidable circumstances.”

The Jaffar Express from Quetta to Peshawar did not depart today. Its return journey was also stopped at Jacobabad instead of continuing to Quetta.

Officials confirmed that train operations across Balochistan have been suspended for the past two days. The Bolan Mail and Chaman Passenger trains to Karachi are also not running.

In Karachi, passengers faced further problems as multiple trains were delayed. The Tezgam departed around 1:30am instead of its scheduled evening time, causing protests at Cantt Station.

Railway police reported that the Sukkur Express had also not left on time, adding to growing frustration among travelers.

This situation comes after a tragic blast near the railway track at Chaman Phatak in Quetta on May 24, which resulted in the martyrdom of at least 14 people, including Frontier Corps personnel, and injured several others, including women and children.

Following the incident, security officials reiterated their commitment to eliminate terrorism and ensure safety in the region. Authorities said operations against those involved in such attacks would continue with full force.
