Pakistan Condemns Drone Attacks on Saudi Arabia

The attacks came amid heightened tensions in the Middle East

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Pakistan on Monday strongly condemned the drone attacks carried out against Saudi Arabia, reaffirming its full support and solidarity with the Kingdom during the ongoing regional tensions.

According to Saudi authorities, air defence systems intercepted and destroyed three unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iraq on Sunday.

The attacks came amid heightened tensions in the Middle East following the conflict that erupted after US and Israeli strikes against Iran on February 28. Since then, Iran has reportedly targeted several Gulf states hosting US military bases, including sites linked to civilian and energy infrastructure.

In a statement issued by the Foreign Office, Pakistan condemned the attacks “in the strongest possible terms,” describing them as a serious violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Foreign Office said the attacks appeared to be an attempt to further destabilise regional peace and security.

“The government and people of Pakistan stand in solidarity with the government and people of Saudi Arabia during this critical time and reaffirm their full and unwavering support for the Kingdom’s security, peace and prosperity,” the statement added.
