Elon Musk lashes out at French investigators over X probe

Musk posted a controversial message in French on Friday, mocking French investigators.

PARIS (Web Desk) : Elon Musk has sharply criticised French judicial authorities investigating alleged abuses linked to his social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

France launched an inquiry in January 2025 into allegations that X was used to interfere in French politics. Since then, the investigation has expanded to include claims related to Holocaust denial, distribution of sexual deepfakes, and alleged complicity in the circulation of child sexual abuse material.

Responding to reports about the latest developments in the case, Musk posted a controversial message in French on Friday, mocking French investigators.

The billionaire entrepreneur, who also leads SpaceX and Tesla, is reportedly under investigation alongside former X chief executive Linda Yaccarino.

According to reports, Musk recently failed to respond to a summons issued by French judicial authorities for an informal interview linked to the probe.

Earlier this year, following a raid on X’s Paris office in February, Musk had also targeted French magistrates in another social media post.

Meanwhile, X has rejected the allegations and described the judicial action as politically motivated, insisting that the company has committed no wrongdoing.
