Pakistan launches digital scoring system for Hajj staff
Digital monitoring system launched for Hajj staff accountability and ratings
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, in collaboration with the National Information Technology Board, has launched a new digital monitoring system titled the “Khuddam Monitoring and Performance System (KMPC)” to improve the quality and accountability of services provided to Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj.
The system has been activated for 1,378 Hajj assistants assigned to support around 179,000 Pakistani pilgrims in Saudi Arabia during the ongoing Hajj season. Officials say the initiative introduces a structured digital scorecard to track staff performance in real time.
According to KMPC Coordinator Ahmed Nadeem Khan, a daily performance record will now be maintained for each staff member. The system includes strict Key Performance Indicators such as attendance, punctuality, discipline, and presence at assigned duty points. Pilgrims will also be able to directly rate staff services through QR-code-based feedback, using a one-to-five-star system.
Each assistant’s overall performance will be calculated out of 100 points, combining operational data and pilgrim feedback. Those who perform well will receive official recognition, while negligence will result in warnings and financial penalties. Continued misconduct may lead to deportation back to Pakistan.

Officials further stated that all assistants are required to wear official uniforms and carry their Nusuk cards while on duty to ensure identification and accountability. The system has been designed to enhance transparency and improve service delivery for pilgrims.
Ahmed Nadeem Khan also noted that staff members were selected through a transparent National Testing Service (NTS) process and are working in shifts ranging from 12 to 24 hours. He highlighted an increased inclusion of female staff this year and said no major complaints or incidents of misconduct have been reported so far.
The ministry said the digital system marks a major step toward modernizing Hajj management and ensuring a more efficient and pilgrim-focused service structure.
